About Feet Beat

FEET BEAT ry is a Finnish nonprofit organization consisting of the committee members Tiina Heino (Chairperson), Sofi Kyrklund (Treasurer), Liisa Benmergui (Secretary), Marleena Haapaniemi and Kenneth Kronholm (Alternate members).

Our purpose is to promote the tradition of tap dancing in Finland by also involving musicians of various kinds in our projects. We want to make people more aware of the versatile history of tap dancing and what it is, or can be today or tomorrow.

Feet Beat has organized big international tap dance festivals yearly 1997-2006. Furthermore the organization has hosted tap jams since 2004 in Helsinki.

All the work for the projects by Feet Beat are done by a big group of volunteers including the committee members.
