Mr. Pollak began his career as an actor, singer and jazz-drummer. He has toured with, among others, Manhattan Tap, Cool Heat Urban Beat and his own company, Rumba Tap. Mr. Pollak has created a highly unique style, choreography and teaching method by fusing Afro-Cuban folklore with Afro-American rhythm tap and Body percussion. His classes have inspired many students long after. He is a versatile, interesting performer melding folk traditions with tap, in an artistic way.
