Dancer, composer, comedian, actor, choreographer, stuntman, bandleader, and the list goes on! Mr. Whitmore is a multi-talented teacher that continues to surprise all who surround him. For many years he was a protégé of the famous tap legend John Bubbles. He has been teaching, among others, at the Alvin Aley Dance School and lecturing at the renowned Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.. Chester Whitmore has his own well-reputed dance company, Black Ballet Jazz, specialized in Afro-American vernacular dance. Mr. Whitmore is an outstanding teacher and performer, whose knowledge of tap and vernacular jazz is endless.
