THE 7th FESTIVAL
A melting pot of tap dancers and musicians
The 7th International Feet Beat Festival offered a week full of tap, other classes closely linked to tap and a whole lot more excitement. Feet Beat collaborated once again with the Urban Dance Festival organized by the Kiasma Theater. In addition to tap dancing, this collaboration gave the opportunity to enjoy other dance forms such as hip hop, break dancing, rap, music and more in the heart of Helsinki.
The Festival at a glance
- August 4-10, 2003: Intensive Courses and workshops at
Helsingin Tanssiopisto, Kasarmikatu 19 and at the Alexander Theater,
Bulevardi 23-27,
- Part I: August 4-6
- Part II: August 7-9
- 5-6 day courses: August 4-9.
- Last day, August 10: Workshops and open stage performances (closing of the URB-festival)
- Monday August 4 SWING & GROOVE JAM, Jumo Jazz Club, Pursimiehenkatu 6
- Wednesday August 6 FEET FUSION -tap concert, Gloria Theater, Pieni Roobertinkatu 12
- Friday August 8 ISLAND JAM, Uunisaari Island, off Kaivopuisto shore.
